Final extension to 2020 operating season on the Manx Electric Railway

The Manx Electric Railway is to operate until 1st November 2020 after a further – and final – extension was announced by Isle of Man Transport. The truncated 2020 season has initially been due to end on 13th September but this was previously extended until 4th October and trams will now be running on selected dates all the way up until Sunday 1st November.

Timetable B will be in operation which will see the first departure from Derby Castle to Ramsey at 0940 with a further five full length journeys running at 1040, 1140, 1240, 1410 and 1510 with additional trips to Laxey at 1010 and 1610. In the opposite direction trams leave Ramsey at 1110, 1210, 1340, 1440, 1540 and 1640 with services from Laxey at 1055 and 1655.

The Manx Electric Railway service will run on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October and then from Saturday 24th to Tuesday 27th October, Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November.

The Isle of Man Steam Railway’s operating season has also been extended and will run additional dates on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October and then from Thursday 29th October until Sunday 1st November.
