Picture in Time: Sheffield 74 & Southampton 45

Its back to Crich again for this edition of “Picture in Time” as we have one further image during the temporary working arrangements on 25th May 2011.

We’ve seen over the past few weeks trams waiting outside The Red Lion on 25th May 2011 when this was a temporary terminus during trackwork at Town End but this time we are a bit further up the line to see the single line operation in further evidence. This is just outside the depot where Southampton 45 has just regained the correct line (that is the tram this image is taken from) using the crossover here whilst Sheffield 74 waits patiently to continue its way down to The Red Lion. You can also just make out Blackpool 166 in the distance too.
