Transport for West Midlands launch survey for post-lockdown services

Even when lockdown measures are gradually relaxed in the coming months there is undeniably going to be a change in people’s travel arrangements (with many people now working from home it is likely to be quite an attractive proposition to do on a more regular basis going forward) and to help understand how this may impact various modes of transport in the West Midlands an online survey has been launched by Transport for West Midlands.

Laura Shoaf, Managing Director at Transport for West Midlands, said: “Nothing will be the same after the Covid-19 pandemic and that includes our public transport network. There will be new commuting patterns and strict rules on physical distancing to observe. But we will still need bus, train and tram services to get people to work or the shops, visit loved ones and attend appointments efficiently and safely. The more people who fill in this survey, the better we can understand what will be needed as we plan our recovery.”

The survey can be accessed here and anyone who completes this by 0900 on Monday 11th May can enter into a prize draw for one of three £50 Amazon vouchers.

The results of the survey will be used by TfWM to not only help plan services for the immediate and longer-term future but also to shape public information campaigns to ensure physical distancing for the protection of staff and passengers.
