Power failure leads to delays on NET

There was major disruption to Nottingham Express Transit services on Thursday 31st October after a power failure just after the morning peak saw part of the network suspended for just over six hours.

Initially reported just after 0900 no trams were able to run between Highbury Vale and The Forest as a result of the power failure with intending passengers diverted towards NCT Yellow Bus services. For those travelling from Hucknall the advice was to travel by tram to Bulwell before catching a bus into the city centre and resuming their tram journey at Royal Centre. For those from Phoenix Park, Cinderhill was the advised changing point for buses into the city.

A service was able to resume across the whole NET network shortly before 1530.
