Free trams back for Hogmanay in Edinburgh

Once again – for the third year in succession – all night free trams will run in Edinburgh to help move the crowds during the Hogmanay celebrations. The trams will in the early hours of the new year between midnight and 0500 every 15 minutes from West End Princes Street and Edinburgh Airport.

Lea Harrison, Edinburgh Trams Managing Director, said: “We’re running more services than ever before this festive season and delighted to be supporting Edinburgh’s Hogmanay once more. With a free tram services, we hope that not only does everyone have a great night but gets home safely.”

And with trams running all the way to the Airport this will be a unique opportunity to travel on the UK’s most expensive piece of track from Ingliston Park and Road for free! Talking of Ingliston Park and Ride the car park will remain open with all overnight parking restrictions removed for one night only.
