September Review – Crich: No. 7 – Leeds Trams

The current operational fleet at Crich consists of three trams which plied their trade in West Yorkshire on Leeds Corporation Tramways. These are 180, 345 and 399 and they all feature in today’s look back at Simply Trams.

2018 marked the 50th anniversary of the entry into service at Crich of Leeds 180. To mark this occasion the tram was displayed at Town End to start the day and that is exactly what we are looking at in this view.

The most recent of the Leeds trams to be restored to use is 345 which is captured in this image as it heads north past Victoria Park.

The last of the trio numerically is 399. We see the tram here as it approached the depot. (All Photographs by Gareth Prior)
