September Review – Blackpool: No. 2 – Blundell Street line-ups

On both days of the Blackpool event stored trams were put on display on Blundell Street along the Fitting Shop wall giving the public a rare chance to see some of the trams which aren’t currently plying their trade along Blackpool Prom. Five different trams were displayed on the two days and we feature four of those below.

Saturday 22nd September saw Open Top Balloon 706 joined by Balloon 703 and Brush 634 dragged out and put on display. This view shows 706 and 703.

The full trio are seen here with 706 nearest the camera and joined by 703 and Brush 634.

Day two and 706 – complete with FTS attendance to publicise their fundraising for the trams restoration – was joined by OMO 8 and Brush 632. This image shows 8 and 706 along with a bus parked behind. (All Photographs by Gareth Prior)
