More engineering works for Supertram

Friday 2nd November will see further engineering works being undertaken on Stagecoach Supertram which will cause a change to services on the Blue and Purple routes. The affected area will be between Sheffield Station and Gleadless Townend with no trams – except for a few very early and late services – running between these stops. The Blue route will be operate either side of the works with the Purple route completely suspended throughout the day.

The following Blue route trams will still run in full as normal:

0515, 0535, 0555 Sheffield Station to Halfway

2337 Halfway to Castle Square

2357, 0017 Halfway to Sheffield Station

For the rest of the day all Blue route services will only run between Halfway and Gleadless Townend and from Sheffield Station to Malin Bridge. Trams will run every 15 minutes until 2000 when the frequency drops to every 20 minutes.

There will also be a replacement bus service running from Herdings Park to Fitzalan Square serving bus stops closest to tram stops and connecting with Blue route trams at Gleadless Townend for Halfway and Fitzalan Square for Malin Bridge.
