Around the World in 18 Trams: Basel BLT 155

We have already had one visit to Basel in this series but we head back to Switzerland again in this edition but this time we look at a tram from Baselland Transport (BLT) who work the longer routes out to the far suburbs – with one route crossing into France for about 3km before heading back into Switzerland.

In this view we see BLT tram 155 running up the grassed reservation next to Aeschengraben towards the SBB Bahnhof stop (the main railway station) whilst working on route 11 from St Louis-Grenxe to Aesch Dorf. This is a fairly modern tram built in the last couple of years and is a Stadler Tango. This system is metre gauge. 155 was caught on camera on 22nd March 2017.
