The continued work on capacity enhancement on London Tramlink will see the Elmers End branch and the section between Mitcham and Mitcham Junction closed again in the coming weeks.
The line between Arena and Elmers End will be closed completely between Wednesday 6th and Sunday 17th June to allow further works to take place which will enable the new line 4
service to start. Whilst this section of line is closed trams will terminate at Arena with passengers advised to complete their journey on the bus routes 289 and 356.
Then on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th June the line will once again be closed between Mitcham and Mitcham Junction as the work to double track the line between these two stops continues. As has become a familiar pattern trams will continue to run from New
Addington to Mitcham Junction from where a replacement bus service will be in operation to Mitcham. At Mitcham a shuttle tram service to Wimbledon running every 15 minutes will be available.
