Staff on the Docklands Light Railway are to go on strike for two days in September in a dispute over pay and conditions. The strikes come in the same week as a rolling series of strikes by workers on the London Underground network.
The DLR strikes will see no service running on the complete network on either Tuesday 9th or Thursday 11th September. During the rolling series of strikes on the Underground (which started Friday 5th September and are due to carry on until the end of Thursday 11th September) the DLR is expected to run a full service, although there may be some disruption at stations shared with the London Underground.
With much of the information out there about the Underground strikes there is limited specific details as to what staff on the DLR have rejected and what the dispute is about except the standard “pay and conditions” reasoning.
