Once more we feature a photo of a tram and another form of transport, and in this “Trams &” we are being sent to Coventry.
In late May 2025, after many years of discussion, the Coventry Very Light Rail project made a significant move forward when the demonstration line started to operate for evaluation and test. Just ahead of the public runs getting underway we are in the West Midlands city for an image here which shows the small, battery powered vehicle when at rest.
It is joined here by a bus being operated by National Express Coventry. This is a full sixed double decker and it gives a good indication of the size of the prototype Very Light Rail vehicle which has a small capacity. This is a zero emission bus (as it proudly tells us) and is an Alexander Dennis Enviro EV City, based in Coventry and new in 2022.
