Variotram 2554 continues test passenger runs

On a visit to Croydon on Wednesday 4th April Variotram 2554 was noticed running in passenger service between Wimbledon and East Croydon. The tram is believed to have run these test passenger runs for at least four weekdays now but as yet is not permitted to run any further east with passengers on board. On one journey on this day the tram terminated from Wimbledon on the centre platform at East Croydon before eventually departing eastbound (presumably on the New Addington branch) “Not in Service”. The other two Variotrams delivered so far were stabled at Therapia Lane Depot.

So what your saying is this went to New Addington after it terminated at East Croydon? If so, then I’m thinking we’re gonna see a full service on at least one new tram soon!
