Manchester Metrolink Engineering Works: 28th & 29th April 2012

There will be more engineering works on Manchester Metrolink over the weekend of Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th April which will mean no trams will run on the Bury line
whilst all other lines will see service amendments.

A replacement bus service is planned to operate between Bury and Piccadilly which will call at all stops to Victoria and then non stop to Piccadilly Gardens and Piccadilly Station.

On the South Manchester line trams will run between St Werburgh’s Road and Piccadilly not calling at Market Street, Shudehill and Victoria.

The Altrincham line will only see services running into Piccadilly with none of the Bury direct services in operation.

Finally the MediaCityUK service will not run on Saturday 28th April with all Eccles services running via the spur instead.

The information on the Metrolink website says all other services will run as normal!

The Bury line will be closed over the weekend of 28th/29th April for engineering works. This photo shows 2005 approaching Besses o' th' Barn on 28th March 2012. (Photo: Mervyn Williams)
