Payment methods change to CityWide 7-Day and SY Connect 7-Day tickets on-board trams

From Sunday 23rd March passengers will no longer be able to make payments by card on-board South Yorkshire Supertram services for the CityWide 7-Day and SY Connect 7-Day tickets because of concerns over misuse and fraud.

This decision comes as Travel South Yorkshire attempt to tackle organised crime linked to fraudulent ticket sales. CCTV footage from on-board is currently being used as part of ongoing investigations.

The withdrawal of card payments only relates to the CityWide 7-Day and SY Connect 7-Day tickets, with all other tickets available for purchase on the trams still able to be bought using card.

The CityWide 7-Day and SY Connect 7-Day tickets can still be bought using card payments on the TSY mobile app, through the TravelMaster website or app, or ticket vending machines at transport interchanges.
