East Anglia Transport Museum announce 2025 events

The East Anglia Transport Museum will be going back to the 1960s and taking visits to the seaside and London as part of their busy programme of special events for 2025, which have just been announced.

The only museum in the UK which offers tram, trolleybus and train rides on any given day, and bus trips on special occasions, the East Anglia Transport Museum in Carlton Colville near Lowestoft, Suffolk has been going from strength to strength in recent years and with this latest set of special events 2025 looks like being no different.

Event highlights for the year look set to include 1960s Weekend (Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May), Seaside Weekend (Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July, including opening until 1900 on the Saturday) and the London Event (Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September, including running until 2100 on the Saturday).

Trams are likely to play significant roles in the events as always. Obviously the Seaside Event lends itself to the several Blackpool trams resident at the museum whilst London Transport 1858 is likely to be a major exhibit at the London Event. And of course the East Anglia Transport Museum is not just about the trams with plenty of London and seaside related trolleybuses in the collection as well as various motorbuses too.

One regular event which is missing from the special events list for 2025 is the Trolleybus Weekend which will be taking a break from the calendar this year and has been replaced by the London Event.
