As the Wirral Transport Museum and Heritage Tramway remains closed following the Big Heritage takeover and work underway to update the attraction, the former Wirral Bus and Tram Show was again, in 2024, retitled the Wirral Transport Show with the focus on the buses of the area. But despite that there was a single tram which was viewable on the day, with it currently being located at Pacific Road.
Birkenhead 7 is the oldest double deck tram in the UK and is horse car which was built by the nearby Starbuck Car and Wagon Company in 1876. Initially operating on the Birkenhead Street Tramway, it was sold on to the Birkdale and Southport Tramway Company in the 1890s. It was transferred to Steamport Museum, Southport in the 1970s before the 1980s saw it restored by members from the British Horse Tram enthusiasts before they sold it on to Wirral Borough Council. It has been at both Taylor Street and Pacific Road and is currently the only tram to be stored in Pacific Road.
The other trams which remain on the Wirral are in the Taylor Street Museum.
