If you’re catching a tram in Edinburgh from St Andrew Square on Friday 4th October you may think you’ve been transported to Rio de Janeiro with Brazilian entertainment on offer as a part of Edinburgh Trams partnership with the Rio Brazilian Steakhouse.
The Rio Brazilian Steakhouse opened in February at the Assembly Rooms in the city and since March 2024 they have had an advert carried on Edinburgh Trams’ no. 258. And now to cement the partnership between the two there will be Brazilian entertainmemt, spin to win prizes and a year’s worth of premium steak up for grabs on 4th October.
The entertainment will include live performances from samba dancers and vibrant Brazilian music taking commuters straight to the streets of Rio de Janeiro from the autumnal Edinburgh weather.
Rodrigo Grassi Duarte, Co-founder and Managing Director of Rio Brazilian Steakhouse, said: “Since opening our doors in February, the city of Edinburgh has given us such a warm and enthusiastic welcome, and we wanted to find a way to give back to this incredible community.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Edinburgh Trams for this special pop-up event to bring the vibrant spirit of Brazil to the heart of the city with entertainment and the chance to win amazing prizes. This event is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to Edinburgh for embracing us and making Rio Brazilian Steakhouse a part of their dining experience.”
