Manchester Metrolink Improvement Works: Sunday 20th October

Improvement works will be affecting Manchester Metrolink services again on Sunday 20th October with trams unable to operate between Timperley and Altrincham and in the vicinity of Victoria. Trams will continue to operate Bury-Crumpsall, Rochdale-Central Park, Eccles-Ashton-under-Lyne, Timperley-Piccadilly and East Didsbury-Piccadilly with buses running Altrincham-Timperley, Crumpsall-Piccadilly and Central Park-Piccadilly. All services should be back to normal by the start of service on Monday 21st October.

    It was great last Sunday to have through trams between the Rochdale line and Piccadilly station with no “connections” to worry about. Pity it was for only one day!

    Ken, going to be at least every Sunday for some time now with Victoria closures from info given to me at work.

      Nigel, I think you are referring to the usual Sunday closure of the line through Victoria. Last Sunday was different, with bus replacements Piccadilly to Altrincham, Eccles and East Didsbury, and the trams from Rochdale going through to Piccadilly station, rather than the usual Rochdale / Central Park service.
