In Pictures: National Trust advertise on West Midlands Metro 44

Just lately its been all about adverts in Edinburgh and Manchester plus a few thrown in for good measure in Nottingham with other systems having gone quiet on new wraps. But now West Midlands Metro have decided to join in the vinyl wrap club again with Urbos100 44 receiving a new advert for the National Trust.

44 has never previously carried a full wrap – although its not a complete full wrap with the ends of the tram being left blank – and becomes just the fourth of the Urbos100 model of trams to receive an advert. 45 retains adverts for the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (which is approaching a year since application – April 2023) whilst 39 advertised University of Birmingham (May-September 2022). 42 also had a partial advertising livery for Nourished (February 2022-October 2023).

It would probably be fair to say that 44 will turn heads wherever it goes as it certainly stands out! The tram is covered in vinyls which include various flowers with it promoted the National Trust’s Blossom Watch campaign.

It looks like it may be a short-lived wrap as it instructs us to “Catch me while you can” and advertises the National Trust’s March blossom watch campaign.
May not be on the tram in April?
Or perhaps, a replacement National Trust wrap will appear.
One thing is for certain on West Midlands Metro, unlike Blackpool, when it is dead, it will be removed!
