Into South Yorkshire for today’s edition of “Out and About” as we feature a couple of images taken around Hillsborough.
Two Citylink tram-trains (but only with tram wheel profiles) pass at Hillsborough when they were both working on the Blue route. Captured on 11th January 2024 399 206 has just arrived at the stop when at the start of its journey from Malin Bridge to Halfway whilst on he opposite track is 399 207 which will turn the corner soon and run the short distance along Holme Lane to Malin Bridge.
Around Hillsborough and along Middlewood Road there are a number of coffee shops where you can enjoy a cup of your beverage of choice whilst watching the trams pass by. One such establishment is Ayle’s from where we see 123 pass on the way to Middlewood. This was 25th January 2024. (Both Photographs by Stuart Cooke)
