Next set of NET engineering works to see upgraded bus service

With one set of engineering works now completed on Nottingham Express Transit preparations are underway for the next set which will affect services to Toton Lane for a week from Saturday 28th October. And following passenger feedback there has been a change to the planned replacement bus service.

Starting from Saturday 28th October this work will repair damage caused by a burst water pipe earlier this year which saw the track close to Cator Lane underwater and led to the service being suspended for several days. During the work there will be no trams running between University of Nottingham and Cator Lane. Services from Toton Lane will only run as far as Cator Lane with services also running between University of Nottingham and Hucknall.

A replacement bus service will now operate between Toton Lane and University of Nottingham calling at all stops – or at least as close to them as possible (it had originally been due to be more of an express service).

A normal service is due to resume from Saturday 4th November.
