Picture in Time: Blackpool Brush 634

Its time for another edition of “Picture in Time” and we stay in Blackpool for this week’s photo.

Last week we saw the Silver Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was being celebrated in Blackpool by the painting of the top of the tower silver and roadside illuminations. The tramways offering to the occasion was the addition of roof adverts to Brush 634 with the tram retaining a special livery applied the previous year for the Centenary of Blackpool Borough.

This photo shows 634 approaching Talbot Square with a service to Fleetwood. The autumn weather on this day may have been bright but the coats being universally worn by people on the seafront suggests that it was none too warm.
