Edinburgh Trams nominated for Global Light Rail Award

It’s a year where the award nominations for Edinburgh Trams just seems to have kept on coming and it shows no signs of ending after it was confirmed that they are up for a number of awards at the forthcoming Global Light Railway Awards, which take place on 4th October.

Exactly which categories they have been nominated for haven’t been revealed bit award entries submitted by the firm highlight their efforts in expanding an energetic and self-motivated workforce ahead of Trams to Newhaven and its innovative approach to boosting patronage.

Details of the categories available at the awards (which take place on 4th October at the Honourable Artillery Company in London include Operator of the Year, Most Improved System, Supplier of the Year, Manufacturer of the Year, Project of the Year and a Judges Special Award. The same document also lists those on the shortlist without naming which categories they’ve been nominated in! As well as Edinburgh Trams it includes Blackpool Transport, KeolisAmey Docklands, Midland Metro Alliance, Nottingham Trams and West Midlands Metro.
