Person dies on DLR tracks at Poplar

British Transport Police confirmed that a person died on the tracks at Poplar on the Docklands Light Railway. The tragic incident happened at approximately 0800 on 3rd December 2025 with confirmation later received that they had passed away.

In a statement the British Transport Police said: “Officers were called at around 8am today to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Poplar DLR station. Officers responded with paramedics, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries into the circumstances leading up to their death are ongoing.”

DLR services were suspended between Canary Wharf and Stratford and from Canning Town to Poplar. Services started to resume from 1300.
