Additional trams to run for concerts at Royal Highland Centre

Edinburgh Trams will be running extra services on evenings when there are concerts taking place at the Royal Highland Centre over the next few weeks. These extra trams will be in operation up until midnight and are just the latest enhanced service to run on the line following on from the all night trams on Fridays and Saturdays during August.

The Royal Highland Centre will be home to acts including The Killers, Paolo Nutini and the Connect Festival in the coming weeks and to help people get to the concerts not only will extra trams be running but there will also be a shuttle bus service connecting the site with Ingliston Park and Ride tramstop.

Sarah Singh, Edinburgh Trams Head of Service Delivery, said: “We’re delighted to be able to work alongside the organisers once again to help anyone heading to the venue to make the most of this exciting summer programme of concerts with as little fuss as possible. Frequent trams will serve all stops between Ingliston Park & Ride and Newhaven, and with a single ticket costing just £2 and a day return £3.80, taking the tram to get to and from the showground couldn’t be easier or better value.”
