Around the World in Trams: Turin 2898

Today’s “Around the World in Trams” features another tram running in Turin during 2019.

2898 is one of the second batch of 2800 series trams which were built in 1982 and is seen here in Piazza Vittorio Veneto with a route 13 service. Route 13 runs for 6.7km between Piazza Campanella and Piazza Gran Madre. 2898 is in the orange livery which superseded the green in the 1970s. The tram remains operational today.
