Stop by Stop Nottingham Express Transit: Hucknall & Phoenix Park – Cinderhill

We’ve nearly made it to the end of our journey on Nottingham Express Transit with the penultimate stop on the Phoenix Park Branch being reached at Cinderhill, which is one of the most difficult to take photos at we’ve had yet!

Shortly after we have left the previous stop at Highbury Vale we enter a single track section of track, and it will be single track all the way until we reach the terminus at Phoenix Park. There is very little of note to mention as we make our way along the line and then reach the single bi-directional platform at Cinderhill. It’s a fairly cramped platform which is accessed either by footpath which leads from the Phoenix Park direction or steps up to road level. Although its fairly cramped it still has ticket machines, shelters, passenger information displays in situ.

We just feature a single photo here due to the limited options for different images. It shows 215 just pulling away from the stop with a service from Phoenix Park to Clifton South. This is taken from the secluded footpath that leads up towards Phoenix Park. (Photograph by Gareth Prior, 17th September 2021)
