A driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after their car ended up on the tramway at Cleveleys on Tuesday 28th February. The car was heading towards Blackpool when it ended up on the tracks between the Cleveleys and Anchorsholme Lane stops.
In a statement Lancashire Police said: “We were called to an RTC where a vehicle has entered the tram tracks and come to a stop. The driver was located and subsequently arrested after providing a breath sample which was over the prescribed limit of alcohol. Luckily no one was harmed.”
Its not known what disruption was caused to the tram service.
