15 Years Apart: Nottingham Express Transit 214

The latest tram to feature in “15 Years Apart” is Nottingham Express Transit 214 as again we see photos of it in both 2007 and 2022.

First photo is from 7th June 2007 and shows 214 standing at what was then the terminus of the line at Station Street. Behind the tram we see the buffers and wall with no tracks going any further – a far cry from how it is today. The tram was still in the original version of the fleet livery and it also carries some advertising for the long-gone rail franchise, Central Trains.

15 years later, on 2nd May 2022, and we now see 214 at Nottingham Station – the replacement stop for Station Street built as part of the phase two extensions. It is carrying the third version of fleet livery which the Incentro trams have carried in their operating careers and now includes advertising for Nottingham Castle.
