During this series we’ll be seeing the same themes in some of the line-ups but usually with a few different trams or in different positions around the depot fan as there are only so many different themes which there can be! We head back to 2009 for today’s images which show a Works Car line-up.
Enthusiasts Day in 2009 took place on 5th July 2009 and featured a line-up of three Works Cars in front of the Workshop in the middle of the day after two of them had been running on the mainline.
In this first photo we see the three vehicles: Blackpool Electric Locomotive, Cardiff 131 and Sheffield Works 330 on display. 131 had only returned to service after restoration earlier in the year.
The same three trams seen from the other side. Its often said that the depot was constructed the wrong way round for photos and so this image is taken somewhat into the sun but we still get to see the three vehicles stabled here. (Both Photographs by Gareth Prior)
