Stop by Stop Blackpool Tramway: Rossall School

Our journey towards Fleetwood on the Blackpool Tramway continues with this latest edition of “Stop by Stop” and its Rossall School today.

Our journey starts to get a little bit rural as we depart from Rossall Beach heading north to Rossall School. The road to the left changes from Rossall Road to Broadway and on the right we now have fields and you may get sight of some horses minding their own business before a tram comes whizzing by! We then arrive at Rossall School tramstop which has everything we have come to expect from the tramstops on the Blackpool Tramway – shelters (on both platforms), lighting, signage and information panels.

This is Rossall School stop. We are looking north from the southbound platform with the school the stop is named after – and home to a Blackpool tram of their own in Trailer 687 – behind the hedge on the other side of the road.

011 calls at Rossall School with a service heading north to Fleetwood Ferry.

002 arrives at Rossall School’s southbound stop having just crossed Rossall Lane. (All Photographs by Gareth Prior, 25th September 2020)
