Rail to be replaced on London Tramlink next week

There will be no trams running between Wandle Park and East Croydon on London Tramlink from Saturday 12th to Sunday 20th February to allow for track to be replaced at Reeves Corner.

The service changes get underway from 0630 on Saturday 12th February and will continue until 2330 on Sunday 20th February. During this period trams will run as follows:

  • Wimbledon to Wandle Park
  • East Croydon to New Addington
  • East Croydon to Beckenham Junction
  • East Croydon to Elmers End

As is usual during works severing the rest of the network from the depot at Therapia Lane on the Wimbledon line there will also be no trams between Arena and Elmers End:

  • Saturdays 12th & 19thFebruary: before 0730 and after 1830
  • Sundays 13th & 20th February: before 0915 and after 1815
  • Monday 14th to Friday 18th February: before 0630 and after 1945

There will also be no trams before 0630 on Saturday 12th February from Wimbledon to East Croydon.

The work will see 100 metres of track replaced at Reeves Corner along with the resurfacing the road. Other work will take place overnight including painting the platform at Centrale, resurfacing Tamworth Road and replacing platform paving at Wellesley Road and Church Street.
