The now quarterly release of performance statistics on Manchester Merolink has shown that from the high of period 6 (ending mid-September) the last three four week periods (taking us from 19th September to 11th December) have seen a fall in both punctuality and reliability – with some lines seemingly hitting new lows of punctuality in particular.

Period 6 (August/September) – 87.1%
Period 7 (September/October) – 84.4%
Period 8 (October/November) – 85.9%
Period 9 (November/December) – 84.8%
The individual line stats for the final period show:
Highest performing line: Altrincham – 93.7%
Lowest performing line: Eccles – 72.9%
Reliability

Period 6 (August/September) – 97.4%
Period 7 (September/October) – 96.0%
Period 8 (October/November) – 96.7%
Period 9 (November/December) – 95.2%
The individual line stats for the final period show:
Highest performing line: Bury – 97.9%
Lowest performing line: East Didsbury – 87.8%
In addition there were 2.89% of all planned journeys cancelled and 0.38% of planned journeys were recorded as being incomplete.
