e-on now have three incredibly similar adverts adorning trams in Nottingham after Incentro 204 swapped its previous all over ad for MHR Global for the incredibly familiar red vinyls for the power company. Of course, the company are no strangers to advertising on the network as under their current identity as well as their previous Powergen identity they have now had adverts on seven of the 15 Incentro trams!
204 had received the MHR Global vinyl wrap in December 2023 (which was its second advert having previously carried a design for an internal NET promotion “Glide into Nottingham” in 2012/3) but now four months later it times for a change again with the e-on livery being added earlier this month. Although judging by the photos below it was in service again before they had the chance to finish putting the vinyls on!
The three trams with current similar e-on adverts are now 204, 205 and 214.
In total there remain seven Incentro trams with full adverts – the others being 201 (Consent Coalition – night-time edition), 202 (Consent Coalition), 211 (Marks Electrical) and 212 (Carbon Neutral Nottingham).
Whato all,
I’m sorry but I don’t like these all-over adverts. They are applied to the windows giving a blurred vision of the world and, quite frankly, spoil my enjoyment of the ride. By all means cover the tram in vinyls but please leave the windows free. Thanks for letting me have a minor rant.
