What’s New on British Trams Online? 25th August 2021

This week’s update is a few days earlier than normal and comes with one Photo Gallery included – back into the archives for a trip to Croydon in 2007:

Gallery 965: Picture in Time Special – Croydon Tramlink 2007

There are also updates to the Manchester Metrolink (new advert and photo links) and Stagecoach Supertram (photo links) Fleet Lists and London Tramlink (old advert photo link) and Manchester Metrolink (new advert and photo links) Advert Lists.

We will be back to normal with our next main site update which is scheduled to be on Sunday 5th September 2021. Please note I will be “out the office” for the next few days so any new news that breaks in that time may not be reported straight away and I may not respond to any emails as quickly as I normally do. Everything should start to get back to normal by the middle of next week.

One of the biggest success stories of recent tram preservation in the UK has been the restoration of Burton & Ashby 14 after it returned from Detroit in the USA. Now running on a regular basis when the Statfold Barn Railway is operational it works off batteries and is seen here passing the camera on 10th July 2021. (Photograph by David Mee)

  1. Henry Mattinson says:

Not sure if this is the right place for this post, but does anyone interested in Preston trams know the identity of the car acquired by Lytham when Preston closed?
