Fares to rise on NET from 30th August

Day tickets on Nottingham Express Transit will increase by between 10p and 20p from 30th August 2021 as part of a delayed annual fare increase which had been due to be introduced in 2020 but was put back because of Covid.

As well as the day ticket changes there will also be an increase of 50p on weekly tickets. The changes will be applied to day and weekly tickets which are purchased via ticket machines, the NETGO! app and Robin Hood Pay As You Go.

Speaking about the increases, Andrew Conroy, Chief Operating Officer of NET operator Tramlink, said: ““Like all public transport operators we need to review ticket prices every year to take into account inflation and other cost increases. We made a decision last year to delay an annual fare increase to reflect the ongoing impact of the Covid pandemic. These small increases ensure NET fares continue to offer people good value for money as the tram helps keep Nottingham moving.”

Included in the changes are:

Ticket Machine and NETGO! Tickets:

Adult Single rises from £2.40 to £2.50

Adult Day rises from £4.20 to £4.40

Robin Hood Pay As You Go tickets:

Adult PAYG single rises from £2.20 to £2.40

Adult PAYG day cap rises from £4.00 to £4.20
