Lockdown Walks: Edinburgh Trams 273

“Lockdown Walks” time again as we head out to Edinburgh Trams’ Gogar Depot.

Gogar Depot is located just beyond the newest stop on the Edinburgh Trams line at Edinburgh Gateway with plenty of space for the stabling of the full fleet of CAF trams along with undercover workshop space and the various offices and control room needed for the operation of the network.

During a bit of shunting around the depot yard here we see 273 (advert free) with the Gogar control room window seen on the left. We can also see 257 (with yellow adverts) upper right and the southern boundary fence in the foreground with one of the tramway tracks visible (Airport to York Place). This image has been taken from the Myreton Drive road overbridge which provides road access to both the depot and Edinburgh Gateway station from the A8 Glasgow Road.
