Lockdown Walks: Edinburgh Trams 253

Once again we are heading to Scotland for an image from Edinburgh Trams, taken during the reduced service of 2020.

This view shows the immediate approach to York Place where the double track singles to arrive at the single platform terminus. On the left hand side we can see the continuation of what will be the Airport bound track and once the extension to Newhaven is built this will be the continuation of the track from Newhaven.

This photo is of 253 which is just arriving at the stop from the Airport. The red sandstone spies of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in the distance are just beyond the point the tramway turns left into North Saint Andrew Street to reach St Andrew Square stop.
