Trams &: London Country Council 106 & trolleybus

Today “Trams &” is off to the East Anglia Transport – always a good place to get images of trams alongside other transport, in particular trolleybuses as we see here.

This photo was taken on 9th July 2016 during the successful London Event at the East Anglia Transport Museum which saw the short-term loan of London County Council 106 to the museum – the first ever short-term loan of a tram to this museum. Sitting at the Church Lane terminus 106 is pausing between trips along the tramway into the woods (London Transport 1858 will be on its own journey while this photo was taken) and is joined by one of the many trolleybuses in the collection. That trolleybus is class L53 1521 – which has the “honour” of being the last trolleybus to run in London on 8th May 1962 – and is now a regular performer at Carlton Colville.
