The second of our December extras will be the return of “Lockdown Walks” with the first in a series of images taken on Manchester Metrolink during early November.
The below photo was taken on Hardy Lane which is on the Metrolink route to Manchester Airport with full street running in action on this section of tramway. A relatively quiet day with just a few cars parked at the side of the road there doesn’t seem to be much preventing the tram from having a clear run through to the Airport.
The tram in question is 3030 which is bound for Manchester Airport. Those of you with a keen eye may also notice just beyond 3030 on the adjacent track is another tram heading towards Manchester City Centre. (Photograph by Keith Chadbourne, 1st November 2020)
