Picture in Time: Nottingham Express Transit 210

As we continue our look at some archive images from Nottingham Express Transit, this week we reach the tenth of the 15 strong Incentro trams – 210.

In this photo we see 210 standing at Station Street on 8th June 2005. The tram seems to have only just terminated with the headlight still shining for its inbound journey and driver making his final checks before changing ends. The destination indicator has already changed for its return trip to Phoenix Park. 210 is named Jesse Boot, after the founder of Boot’s who are based at Beeston, with the name chosen by listeners to BBC Radio Nottingham. It carries the original fleet livery in this image.
