Lockdown Walks: Edinburgh Trams 276

This latest “Lockdown Walk” is heading out in Edinburgh once more, although this time around we are heading a bit further out of the city centre.

The below image is taken at Balgreen, the next stop after Murrayfield as trams head out of the city. Opening, as with all stops, on 31st May 2014 the stop is located on the site of the former Balgreen Halt railway station on the old Corstorphine branch which last saw passengers in 1967. The Network Rail line out of Haymarket runs adjacent to the tramway at this location.

This is 276 which is just about to depart Balgreen for the Airport on a very lightly loaded journey. (Photograph by Roy Calderwood, 30th June 2020)
