Trams &: East Anglia Transport Museum & Bristol MW5G bus

It’s a bus which is getting almost as much air time on British Trams Online as some trams at the moment but Keith Chadbourne’s Bristol MW5G bus features again, this time on a visit to the East Anglia Transport Museum.

Front and centre of the below image is indeed the bus – numbered 2572 in the Bristol omnibus when introduced into service in 1963 – which as we’ve mentioned before was in use by this time by Keith Chadbourne in his work with the Scouts and indeed it even has a special destination blind “LONGFORD SCOUTS”!

Behind the bus and to the right we see two stationary trams at Carlton Colville, both very familiar to readers of this website. With both coming from Blackpool they are Standard 159 and Marton VAMBAC 11. For those of you with a general interest in vintage vehicles there are also plenty of cars to take a look at too, but at this time they were probably the most modern thing in the photo!
