Around the World in Trams: Auckland 44

Another look at trams in the collection at MOTAT in Auckland today and we feature another of the “home” trams.

This is Auckland 44, a “Dinghy” tram dating from 1906. This tram was built in Auckland Electric Tramways Company’s own workshops at Ponosoby – as proudly stated on the information panel hooked to the front of the tram. This is another high quality restoration at the museum and on 27th February 2020 we see the tram taking a rest inside the shed.
