Around the World in Trams: Rio de Janeiro 116

Our world tour stays in South America this week for another image from the system in Rio de Janeiro.

This photo shows 116 just pulling into one of the stops on the 15km line with passenger patiently awaiting its arrival. 116 is one of 32 Alstom Citadis 402 trams built in France and Sao Paolo and as you can see from this view they are running on the APS power system with the extra rail in between the running lines providing this power. 116 is also carrying a full advertising livery.

With thanks to Ken Jones for information contained within the text.
