September Review – Crich: No. 5 – Wakebridge The Terminus!

As part of the event at the start of the day trams only ran as far as Wakebridge as 2018 marked the 40th anniversary that the line to Glory Mine was opened. In today’s look back at September’s events we see some images whilst Wakebridge returned to use as a terminus.

This first photo shows Blackpool & Fleetwood 2, Leeds 180 and Sheffield 510 which had operated the very first service of the day, all chosen as they were operational when the line to Wakebridge opened.

Two Blackpool cars meet at Wakebridge with Standard 40 and Toastrack 166.

The final view at Wakebridge and we see Glasgow 22 and Leeds 180 in situ. (All Photographs by Gareth Prior)
