For the past few months Oporto 196 has been missing something whilst still being in service at Beamish. That something is its advert boards which have recently been reapplied with the familiar Sunderland Echo and Shop at Binns adverts included on the boards amongst other local companies.
196 waits at the Pockerley stop on 29th August 2018 completed with advert boards back in situ. This day saw a four tram service with Newcastle 114 and Sheffield 264 running clockwise and Blackpool 31 with 196 was on the anti-clockwise circuit. (Photograph by Trevor Hall)
