Picture in Time: Rigby Road Depot

Blackpool is the location once again for this edition of Picture in Time as we take a look inside Rigby Road Depot back in 1987.

This image is a fascinating view of Rigby Road Depot showing just how the tramway looked during 1987, now over 30 years ago. Green and cream is by far the prevalent livery seen although several different versions of the livery are seen including the single deck 1980s version seen on a Brush Car in the centre of shot. We can also see a Boat Car on the far side, a Centenary Car alongside and then a couple of Brush Cars. Next up is Works Car 753 (the ex-Standard 143) before a couple of on road works vehicles including a Unimog. The Electrical Compound on the right is home to Bolton 66 and a Balloon Car.
