Silver and Highly Commended for Seaton Tramway at awards

Seaton Tramway are once again celebrating following the receipt of awards at the recent South West Tourism Excellence Awards. Although not walking away with the main prizes Seaton were awarded a Silver Award in one category whilst also being highly commended in another.

The award ceremony itself – held in Bristol – was the biggest ever gathering of South West tourism businesses with finalists coming from across the region including Dorset, Bristol, Bath and Somerset, Cornwall, Devon, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

Seaton walked away with a Silver award for Artistic, Cultural and Learning Experience whilst also being Highly Commended in the Large Attraction of the Year.

Jenny Nunn, Chief Executive of Seaton Tramway, said: “This is definitive testament to the hard work, passion, dogged determination and attention to detail from all who strive to make Seaton Tramway an excellent visitor attraction, and now, we can now proudly say, one of the best visitor attractions in the South West. Achieving excellence, both in the Devon and South West Tourism Awards, is indeed a great accolade which reflects a consistently focussed team effort throughout the year and sets the Tramway in great stead to thrive even further in the season ahead.”
